Lava flows from the Mauna Loa eruption moved north towards the Daniel K Inouye Highway, also known as Saddle Road, on Wednesday, November 30, the USGS said.
In their latest update, the service said
that Fissure 3 on the Northeast Rift Zone remained the largest source of lava flow from the eruption.Flows were moving north
, but had slowed to about 0.02 miles per hour on Wednesday. The flow front was located 3.6 miles from the Daniel K Inouye Highway.No properties were in danger from the eruption, the update added.
