All three of the major averages (^DJI, ^IXIC, ^GSPC) closed higher on Friday, with the S&P 500 inching closer to a new record close. The big story of the day was Netflix (NFLX) announcing it will buy Warner Bros. Discovery's (WBD) film and TV studios and HBO Max streaming service. The deal is valued at nearly $83 billion. Warner Bros. Discovery will continue with its plans to spin out its TV networks.

Looking ahead, Wall Street will be watching the Fed's latest decision on interest rates and earnings from Oracle (ORCL), Costco (COST), Broadcom (AVGO), and Lululemon (LULU).
