奶茶連鎖店茶百道（02555）開啟招股程序，並向「新茶飲第二股」的頭銜發起衝擊。在茶百道身後，古茗、蜜雪冰城、滬上阿姨等內地同行都在排隊等待上市港股。然而，今年港股IPO市場依舊不見起色，首季募資額較去年同期下降33%，僅為46億港元。而茶百道一家的擬募集金額就達到25.86億港元，亦是年內迄今最大的IPO項目。正是由於港股的行情低迷與流動性不足，另一茶飲品牌「霸王茶姬」據傳選擇放棄香港，轉道赴美掛牌。但眼下中資企業遭遇嚴格的會計審查，上市美股面臨的挑戰亦不小。事實上，疫後消費市場競爭空前激烈。香港媒體近來十分關注本地店舖結業潮，但在內地的情形可能更殘酷。特別是茶飲這類的新消費，價格嚴重內捲之餘，各家品牌都急於擴張門店規模，既要出海、也要下沉。 
對比招股書可知，截至2023年底，茶百道在三線及以下城市門店佔比為41.6%，但仍然比不上古茗與滬上阿姨的49%、蜜雪冰城的56.9%。茶百道若想留在行業的第一梯隊，就需要募集更多資金鋪設網點。此外，茶百道也計劃投身到茶飲出海的大勢中去。公司將馬來西亞、泰國、越南視為潛在市場，並考慮進軍東南亞、北美等地。據茶百道高層透露，目前也正在為香港分店選址。茶飲行業已是求財若渴，但內地上市的大門基本封閉。2023年初，A股IPO的「紅黃燈」政策浮出水面。據投行人士反映，中國證監會表明，餐飲連鎖、白酒食品、防疫、殯葬等屬於「紅燈行業」，不再接收上市申報。其中典型案例，就是此前申請深交所主板上市的蜜雪冰城撤銷了IPO材料。
