A shooting at Saugus High School left two students dead and four injured, including the suspect, in Santa Clarita, California, on November 14, authorities said.

In a video shared on Twitter, students are seen walking down the street in Santa Clarita after the high school was evacuated following the shooting on Thursday morning.

A student at the high school narrates the video, saying, “Look at all these kids leaving, all these cars. Oh my gosh. It’s crazy. What the hell.” The student’s father said he was late on Thursday morning and was not at the school during the shooting.

Authorities said a 16-year-old female and a 14-year-old male had died as a result of the shooting.

The Santa Clarita sheriff said the suspected shooter was a 16-year-old male who was hospitalized in “grave condition” from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Authorities had been looking for a suspect described as an Asian male in black clothing, according to the sheriff’s department. It later said a suspect was in custody.

Authorities said Thursday was the suspect’s birthday. The weapon used was a .45-caliber pistol, which was found at the scene. The sheriff added that it had investigated two recent threats toward the high school. Credit: @aguadulce_alex via Storyful
