Lake-effect snow hit parts of upstate New York near Lake Erie and Lake Ontario on January 25, with the highest accumulations expected in Chautauqua County, the National Weather Service (NWS) said.

Video taken by Joseph Frascati shows snowflakes falling in Rochester on Tuesday, he said.

The NWS predicted up to six inches could fall in the Rochester area on Tuesday. It had snowed “lightly” in the region the previous evening, making travel tricky in some places, the weather service said.
