Crowds Seen at Arizona Bar as Restaurants Reopen

Police in Tempe, Arizona, said they responded to calls of people gathered outside a new bar and restaurant in the city after Arizona Governor Doug Ducey permitted restaurants to re-open for dine-in service on Monday, May 11, local media reported.

This video shows people inside and outside CASA Tempe, a two-story Mexican restaurant and bar with outdoor seating on Mill Avenue, where people gathered after Arizona State University’s virtual commencement ceremony, according to local reports.

Tempe police said they responded to a call about crowds at the restaurant but that officers observed customers inside the restaurant were compliant with social distancing guidelines.
