Two-Seater Plane Crashes Near Tacoma, Washington

A two-seater airplane crashed in a Spanaway, Washington, field on Wednesday, October 23. Two men, aged 76 and 64, had to be extricated from the plane, according to Tacoma’s News Tribune.

Witnesses called police after they saw the Vans RV-6 plane in the field. This video shows the aircraft upside down as emergency crews work to extricate the men, who walked away from the crash unharmed.

The News Tribune quoted Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer as saying, “They’re lucky. The passenger compartment is crushed.”
