Hawaii Volcanoes National Park prepared for an “influx of visitors” wanting to see a “rare dual eruption” after Mauna Loa began erupting for the first time in 40 years on Sunday, November 27, joining the already erupting Kilauea.

The Hawaii Emergency Management Agency reported that there were no evacuations as the “lava has not left the immediate summit area.”
