Rescue workers saved a child buried under rubble in Syria, after a 7.8-magnitude earthquake and a series of powerful aftershocks struck neighboring Turkey early on Monday, February 6.According to state-controlled news agency Sana, at least 711 people were killed and 1,431 injured in Syria.Turkey’s state-run Anadolu Agency reported that at least 2,379 people were killed and 11,119 were injured in the quake and aftershocks.Footage released by the Syrian Civil Defense shows a child stuck under debris being dug out by rescue workers in Atarib, a town in the western Aleppo countryside.
