Footage Shows Workers Rescuing Child Trapped Under Rubble in Syria

Rescue workers saved a child buried under rubble in Syria, after a 7.8-magnitude earthquake and a series of powerful aftershocks struck neighboring Turkey early on Monday, February 6.

According to state-controlled news agency Sana, at least 711 people were killed and 1,431 injured in Syria.

Turkey’s state-run Anadolu Agency reported that at least 2,379 people were killed and 11,119 were injured in the quake and aftershocks.
