Firefighters in California’s Sierra National Forest conducted back-burning operations to contain the 291,000-acre Creek Fire on the evening of September 24.Video of the burnout shows firefighters surveying the fire line, while a man identified as John Kennedy, the Operations Section Chief of the National Incident Management Team #1, narrates the scene.“Fire’s consuming really well, we’re getting some good depth … getting ready to bring some more fire down the road,” Kennedy says in the video.As of the morning of September 25, according to Cal Fire, the Creek Fire had scorched 291,426 acres and was 36 percent contained.
