Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Hong Kong on June 30, ahead of the 25th anniversary of the territory’s handover to China from Britain.

Footage streamed live shows Xi arriving by train at West Kowloon Station, before a meeting with Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam. It is Xi’s first visit to Hong Kong since Beijing’s introduction of a controversial national security law and crackdown on the local pro-democracy movement.
