The Mount Etna volcano on the Italian island of Sicily continued to erupt on March 4, sending a large gray plume of ash into the sky.

According to reports, the ash plume rose at least 5 kilometers above the crater and spread into an umbrella cloud that drifted east and spread ash as far away as Messina.
