Being a pampered pup can have its challenges, and this little dachshund called Canelo certainly faced one such quandary when he tried to bring his massive stuffed toy indoors to his home in Napa, California, on July 8.

Canelo’s owner, Laura Valencia, captured this video of the 13-week-old puppy and posted it to Facebook with the caption: “Someone’s upset they can’t get their chew toy through the crack #thestruggleisreal”.

She told Storyful that the puppy’s name is Canelo because of his color: canela means cinnamon in Spanish, so they created a male derivative. The fact that Canelo is also the name of a famous red-haired Mexican boxer helps too. An apt namesake, then, for this determined little dog. Credit: Laura Valencia via Storyful
