A replica of the 14-bis, a plane designed and built by Paris-based Brazilian Alberto Santos-Dumont in 1906, crash landed at an airshow in the Brazilian city of Bauru on Sunday, June 9.

The pilot of the replica 14-bis lost control moments before touching down, with the plane’s nose crunching into the ground.

Vicente Marcelo da Silva Oliveira captured the moment of impact, and kept recording as the pilot, who seemed unscathed, emerged from the wreckage to a round of applause.
