CNN Sign Defaced Amid Black Lives Matter Protests in Atlanta
A CNN sign was vandalized on May 29 during a Black Lives Matter demonstration outside the news network’s building in Centennial Olympic Park, Atlanta, Georgia.
Footage shows protesters mounting the graffiti-clad sign, holding placards that read “black lynching must go” and “justice for all, black lives matter.”
Other footage shared on social media showed protesters hurling objects at the building.
Activists held protests in major cities across the US after video circulated of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin pinning Floyd, a black 46-year-old, to the ground with his knee on Floyd’s neck on May 25. Floyd died soon after.
