Blowing Snow Causes Road Closures in Northern Maine

The Maine State Police warned drivers to stay at home on Saturday, February 4, as wind and blowing snow created hazardous conditions in Caribou, prompting road closures.

The National Weather Service warned of blizzard conditions across areas of Aroostook county through Saturday. The service forecasted “bitter cold wind and fiercely low wind chills” with gusts up to 45 mph.
