Film icon Robert Duvall stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday and talked about another film icon, Marlon Brando. It's been written that Brando didn't like memorizing his lines and so he'd read off his script while filming. Duvall can confirm it's true. Talking about The Godfather, Duvall said, "When [Brando] had the big scene with Pacino in the garden, he'd lean back and his lines [were] on the tree." Meyers then showed a picture of Brando's lines taped to Duvall's body for a scene.
